When trying harder is no longer the answer
She had been job searching for a long time. Applications. Calls. Tests. Follow-ups. Effort was not the problem. So we had to consider something less comfortable:
Was the market seeing enough current evidence of her value?
That shifted the strategy. The question was no longer:
“How many more applications should I send?”
It became:
“What evidence exists today that I am current, relevant and able to contribute?”
The focus broadened towards writing, visible work, professional conversations and rebuilding currency. There was no miraculous overnight outcome. But the strategy became more intelligent. Sometimes the breakthrough is not immediate success. It is finally stopping a strategy that is producing effort without movement.
